Do you want to feel good, energised, and calm, but find yourself constantly caught up in the busyness of life with little time for self-care? Or perhaps you are unsure where to even begin?

In today’s fast-paced world, the pursuit of good health and overall wellbeing is more crucial than ever before. For me, it is not about quick fixes or temporary changes. It is about long-term well-being, focusing on the harmony between our body and mind as well as our surroundings and emphasising their interconnectedness. It’s what I call sustainable health.

My wish is to help you reclaim control over your well-being and guide you towards feeling your best. This involves empowering you with the knowledge you need to make conscious choices that align with your needs.

Let me share a glimpse of my story. Struggling with health issues myself, I sought out to understand the root causes behind my symptoms and to find more natural ways to improve my well-being. I learned that a good acid-base balance in our body and good bacteria in our gut are essential to our well-being. Not only physically, but also mentally! A misbalance is often cause for our ailments, but is greatly neglected. By prioritising and embracing self-care, harnessing the power of nature, and making sustainable choices, I experienced transformative results. And I firmly believe that you can too!

This journey has been incredible so far, not only for me but also for my clients. They have witnessed positive effects on their well-being, such as reduced gastritis, improved digestion and skin health, relief from joint pain, and enhanced ability to manage anxiety. Of course, everybody’s journey is unique, and together, we will discover what works best for you.

Now is YOUR time to feel good. Which path will you choose? I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Together, let’s make your well-being a top priority.

Sustainable Health

Join the ‘sustainable health’ programme of the the ‘Centrum Preventieve Geneeskunde‘ where I am part of a team preventionists under the guidance of John Verhiel, orthomolecular therapist. This programmes is designed to gain insights into your current state of health, and with that to understand possible underlying causes of your complaints.

The focus is on five key aspects:
1. The Acid-Base Balance: Maintaining the delicate equilibrium necessary for optimal bodily functions.
2. Gut Health: Exploring the complex world of our digestive system, crucial for overall well-being and our immune system.
3. Fatty Acid Metabolism: Understanding which fats are beneficial for your health and which not, vital to eliminate inflammation and for a healthy skin, hair, heart, eyes, lungs, hormone balance, fertility, …
4. Sugar Metabolism: Investigating the mechanisms regulating blood sugar levels, essential for sustained energy. 5. Neurotransmitters: Analysing some important chemical messengers in the body influencing many body functions and emotions.

When one or more of these systems are disrupted, our body functions are affected and various symptoms can occur. The programme equips you with the knowledge to take proactive steps. Whether it’s preventive measures or corrective actions for existing health issues, the aim is simple: to rebuild your health steadily, one step at a time, and cultivate a state of ‘sustainable health.’ We will analyse your state of health and create an actionable plan, just for you. Your will learn what your body needs to become or stay lastingly healthy and what signals your body gives when in imbalance.

Natural Supplements

With our hectic lives and often unhealthy diets, our body can easily get out of balance, not getting enough of the ‘good stuff’ that is keeping us healthy.

Understanding where our body is out of balance (see sustainable health programme above), we can use minerals, probiotics, aloe vera and other natural supplements to help our body in balance again.

As preventionist, we are applying insights from the orthomolecular medicine to help you boost your well-being with natural supplements focussing on the de-acidification, detox and cleansing of the body as well as a healthy gut, a strong immune system and more. I further base my advice on protocols developed by dr. Delbe (‘Mein Vitalkonzept’) and other expert literature.

For example, Aloe vera drinking gels can offer a simple, natural support for our body. They help the body with the acid-base balance and detox. The active ingredients in the Aloe Vera drinking gels further stimulate the immune system and regeneration processes.

Personally, I am taking the LR ‘Active Freedom’ Aloe vera drinking gel, which additionally contains valuable nutrients for the musculoskeletal system, helping with reduced muscle tension and enhanced mobility.

Self-care & self-awareness

Stress. Pressure at work. Constant busyness. Digital overload. Social expectations… Most of us are exposed to stressors like this on a daily basis which triggers our body’s fight, flight, or freeze response. Originally designed for immediate threats and our survival, our current lifestyle often maintains us in this heightened state of stress response. Prolonged activation, however, negatively impacts our physical and mental health.

I love the quote “Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes…including you.” – Anne Lamott

What do we do when our computer stops working? Yes, we unplug it. The good old trick that almost always works. And in the case that it does not, we dive into understanding what is wrong. Funny enough, we do not do that (often enough) with our own body.

Coming from a burn-out myself, I learned the hard way that self-care and self-awareness is not selfish, but a must for our well-being.

Self-care and self-awareness empower us to understand what our body is telling us. They allow us to recognise our strengths, our challenges, and our triggers. By understanding what energises and what depletes us, we can develop healthy coping mechanisms and make choices that nurture our well-being and enhance our resilience. And that looks different for everyone, ranging from exercise and nutrition to hobbies, relaxation and more!
